6 Best Tradervue Alternatives in 2026 (Modern, Cheaper, and Free Options)

Outgrown Tradervue's 30-trade free plan or its dated interface? Six trading journals compared on price, import, crypto support, and analytics.

Tradervue and EdgeDojo logos side by side: best Tradervue alternatives in 2026

Tradervue has been journaling trades since before most of its competitors existed, and that longevity shows in both directions. It is stable, it imports from 80+ platforms, and its exit analysis is still one of the best in the category. It also looks and feels like software from another decade, and its pricing has not moved down while the market filled in beneath it.

Traders usually go looking for a Tradervue alternative for one of these reasons:

  • The free plan is a demo. Thirty trades a month is a few sessions for an active day trader. After that you are on Silver at $29.95 a month or Gold at $49.95.
  • The interface. Public reviews consistently describe it as cluttered and dated. Newer journals are simply nicer to open every evening.
  • No crypto. Tradervue covers stocks, options, futures, and forex. If you trade Coinbase or a perps exchange, you need a second journal.
  • No mobile app, no strategies section, no backtesting. Depending on what you want, one of those is a deal breaker.
  • Billing friction. Cancellation complaints are the dominant theme in Tradervue's public reviews. That is worth knowing before you enter a card.

Here are six alternatives, ranked for a trader who wants to review honestly and improve. Prices were checked in September 2026.

Quick comparison

Journal Paid from Free option Crypto How trades get in Best for
EdgeDojo Free (open beta) Free, no card Yes, plus perps API connections and integrations with 90+ brokers and exchanges, plus universal import Modern, focused journal for every asset class
TradeZella $35/mo None Yes 500+ broker sync Traders who want replay, backtesting, and community
TraderSync $29.95/mo 7-day trial, no card Yes 700+ broker auto-import Same price as Tradervue, far more features
TradesViz $19.99/mo Free, stocks only Yes Auto-sync and CSV Maximum statistics per dollar
Edgewonk $197 per 16 months 14-day refund Yes MT4/MT5 sync, 30+ platforms, Excel Psychology-first review
Stonk Journal Free, Pro $10/mo Free, unlimited Yes Manual, CSV on Pro Zero budget

What a year actually costs

Retail traders do not have a firm paying for software. Every dollar of subscription comes out of the same account you are trying to grow, so the honest comparison is total annual cost for a plan with unlimited trades and import.

Journal Annual cost Catch
Tradervue (what you pay now) $323.46 (Silver) or $479.52 (Gold) Exit analysis and risk reports need Gold; no crypto
EdgeDojo $0, free during open beta Everything included, every asset class, API connections and integrations with 90+ brokers and exchanges, plus universal import; beta accounts stay free
TradesViz $179.88 (Pro annual) Free tier is stocks only; exit analysis needs Platinum at $269.88
Edgewonk $197 per 16 months, about $148 a year No monthly plan; 16 months up front
Stonk Journal Free with manual entry, $120 (Pro) Import only on Pro; no fill pairing or broker sync
TraderSync $179.64 first-year promo, $359.40 at the monthly rate Replay depth and AI capped below Elite
TradeZella $315 (Essential) or $531 (Pro) Replay and AI agents need Pro; one account on Essential

EdgeDojo is free during open beta, no card required, and accounts created during the beta keep free access after paid plans launch. It is the only option on this list that costs nothing and still imports from any broker, covers every asset class, and includes a daily diary. The journals that cost more do not journal better. They bundle more.

1. EdgeDojo

Best for: traders who liked Tradervue's focus on reviewing real trades but want a modern interface, every asset class including crypto and perps, and a daily diary, for free.

EdgeDojo is built on a simple idea: a trading journal should be excellent at four things. Import your trades, journal them, track the trader behind them, and tell you what to do next. EdgeDojo does those four things with a modern, intuitive interface and deliberately skips everything else. It is free during open beta, no card required, and beta accounts keep free access when paid plans arrive.

Why traders switch

  • API connections and integrations with 90+ brokers and exchanges. Connect Interactive Brokers, tastytrade, Alpaca, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit, OKX, and more with a read-only API key, or Hyperliquid with a wallet address, and EdgeDojo syncs your trades every day at the time you choose.
  • Universal smart import. Drop in a trade export from any broker or exchange. EdgeDojo recognizes the file, pairs fills into trades, calculates P&L, and groups multi-leg options into named structures. No mapping wizard, no broker whitelist to check, no waiting for an integration to be added.
  • The best journal for perpetual futures traders. EdgeDojo has a native Hyperliquid integration. Enter your wallet address and your perps fills sync straight into the journal, with the same analytics as everything else you trade. Most journals on this list treat perps as an afterthought or not at all. EdgeDojo treats them as a first-class asset class, in a journal you can have running in five minutes.
  • Every asset class in one journal. Stocks, ETFs, options, futures, perpetual futures, crypto, and forex share one account and one equity curve. A trader who scalps ES in the morning and trades perps at night finally sees the whole picture in one place.
  • Trader psychology, tied to results. A daily diary records your pre-plan, mood, market conditions, catalysts, expectations, takeaways, and an A to F score for how you traded, separate from what you made. The score is plotted against P&L, so you can see which version of you makes money. Strategies carry eligibility checklists, so every trade shows whether you followed your own rules and what it cost when you did not.
  • A journal you will actually open. Fast and uncluttered. Screenshots, setup and mistake tags, stop loss and profit target on every trade, and a visual gallery for re-studying your best setups until they are muscle memory.
  • Analytics that point to the next action. P&L calendar heatmap, equity curve, R-multiple distribution, win rate, profit factor, and performance by strategy, symbol, day of week, and asset class. Every chart filters by strategy, symbol, asset class, or date range.
  • No feature bloat, no tiers. No AI credits, no trade caps, no gated reports. Your data is yours to export at any time.
  • Free, and it stays free for beta members. EdgeDojo is in open beta: full access, no card, no trade caps. Accounts created during the beta keep complimentary access after paid plans launch. Retail traders live and die by costs, and every other journal on this list wants $120 to $500 a year for what EdgeDojo gives you today at no cost.

What it leaves out

By design, there is no backtesting, trade replay, or social feed. API sync covers Interactive Brokers, tastytrade, Alpaca, Hyperliquid, and most major crypto exchanges; other brokers, including Schwab and Fidelity, import by file. There is no native mobile app yet.

Verdict: EdgeDojo replaces Tradervue Silver at no cost during open beta, imports from any broker or exchange without checking a compatibility list, covers the crypto and perpetual futures markets Tradervue never added, and gives you a diary that connects your state of mind to your results.

2. TradeZella

Best for: traders who want the opposite of dated: replay, backtesting, AI, and a community, and are willing to pay for it.

TradeZella is the feature leader. Auto-sync from 500+ brokers and prop firms, tick-by-tick trade replay, a backtester with over a decade of historical data, Playbooks for strategy rules, prop-firm rule tracking, AI agents, and private Spaces for sharing trades. Plans are $35, $59, and $99 a month, or $315, $531, and $891 a year. Replay starts on the $59 Pro tier.

Watch out for: you are paying for a backtester, AI agents, a course library, and a community whether or not you use them, and the feature everyone actually wants, trade replay, is locked behind the $59 tier. There is no free plan and no free trial, so the first time you see the product is after you have paid for it. TradeZella is the most expensive journal on this list by a wide margin, and for most retail traders the extra cost buys shelf space.

3. TraderSync

Best for: traders who want Tradervue's price with a much longer feature list.

TraderSync costs about the same as Tradervue, at $29.95, $49.95, and $79.95 a month, with first-year annual pricing of $179.64, $269.64, and $383.76. For that you get auto-import from 700+ brokers, a mobile app, trade replay, a simulator, and the Cypher AI assistant. Every tier has a 7-day trial with no card required.

Watch out for: three tiers mean the feature you want is usually one tier up. AI messages are capped per day, replay depth is gated, and the first-year annual price jumps at renewal. The interface is busy, and much of the feature list exists to match TradeZella rather than to make you a better trader. You will pay about double EdgeDojo's price for a journal that does the core job about as well.

4. TradesViz

Best for: traders who want more reports than Tradervue Gold offers, for less than Tradervue Silver.

TradesViz publishes 600+ statistics, supports every major asset class including crypto and CFDs, and has a free tier for stocks with 3,000 executions a month. Pro is $19.99 a month or $14.99 a month billed annually. Platinum at $29.99 adds multi-timeframe exit analysis, an options backtester, and an options flow scanner. If Tradervue's exit analysis was the feature keeping you, Platinum is the direct upgrade.

Watch out for: 600 statistics is a spreadsheet, not a decision. The dashboard takes real setup time to be useful, and new users often spend their first week configuring instead of reviewing. The free tier is stocks only, and the exit analysis reviewers praise needs Platinum at $29.99 a month. If you want a calm surface to review your day on, this is the opposite of that.

5. Edgewonk

Best for: traders who want to study their own behavior rather than their charts.

Edgewonk's Tiltmeter, Psychology Lab, and Edge Finder are built around one question: where are you leaking money to yourself? One plan, currently $197 billed every 16 months, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. MetaTrader 4 and 5 sync automatically, 30+ other platforms including Interactive Brokers, Schwab, Webull, NinjaTrader, and Tradovate import by file, and an Excel template covers everything else.

Watch out for: you commit to 16 months up front for software you have never used, with a 14-day window to change your mind. There is no monthly plan, no mobile app, no replay, and no perps support. Edgewonk's insight is only as good as your data entry, and its per-trade forms are exactly what tilted traders stop filling in. It rewards discipline you may not have yet.

6. Stonk Journal

Best for: traders who want a free journal without Tradervue's 30-trade cap.

Stonk Journal's free plan has no limits on trades or accounts and covers stocks, options, futures, forex, and crypto. It is ad-free, works offline, and has a calendar heatmap, risk rules, and setup tracking. Pro at $10 a month adds CSV import, an AI coach, and a combined multi-account dashboard.

Watch out for: free lasts until you need import, and then it is $10 a month for a journal that still does not pair fills or sync a broker. The analytics stop at the basics, there is no R-multiple or expectancy view, and broker sync has been a roadmap item rather than a feature. EdgeDojo replaces the manual workflow entirely, and it is free during open beta.

How to choose

  • Leaving over price? EdgeDojo is free during open beta and beta accounts stay free. Among paid journals, TradesViz Pro at $14.99 a month billed annually is the cheapest with import included.
  • Leaving over the interface? Every option here is more modern than Tradervue. EdgeDojo and Stonk Journal are the calmest; TradeZella and TradesViz are the busiest.
  • Leaving because you need crypto? All six support spot crypto. EdgeDojo syncs Hyperliquid perps directly from your wallet address, with no dashboard to configure first.
  • Leaving because you want live sync? TraderSync, TradeZella, and TradesViz for traditional brokers. EdgeDojo has API connections and integrations with 90+ brokers and exchanges, including Interactive Brokers, tastytrade, Alpaca, and Hyperliquid, and syncs connected accounts daily.
  • Leaving because you want to journal your day, not just your trades? EdgeDojo and Edgewonk are the only two that make the session the unit of review.
