bitFlyer is one of Japan's largest exchanges, and active traders use its bitFlyer Lightning screen for the spot order book. EdgeDojo connects with a bitFlyer Lightning API key and imports your spot fills, with P&L and fees on every trade.
Sync after your session and the day's trades are ready to review.
Tips for journaling bitFlyer trades
- Create the key on bitFlyer Lightning, not in the app. Tick only the permissions that read balances and executions.
- bitFlyer limits private API calls per 5 minutes. If a sync on a busy account is slow, give it a minute and sync again.
- Separate your Lightning trades from simple buy and sell purchases with tags. They are different habits with different results.
How to sync your bitFlyer trades
- 1 Log in to bitFlyer Lightning (https://lightning.bitflyer.com) and open the menu at the top left.
- 2 Select API and click Add new API key (Generate New Key).
- 3 Name the key and tick only the read permissions, such as getting balances and getting executions. Do not tick order or withdrawal permissions.
- 4 Copy the API key and API secret.
- 5 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose bitFlyer, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
