Bybit traders tend to trade fast and often, which makes it hard to journal, and easy to lose track of what is working. EdgeDojo connects with a read-only Bybit API key and imports spot, perpetual, and futures fills into one journal, with P&L and fees on every trade.
Click Sync after your session and the day's trades are ready to review.
Tips for journaling Bybit trades
- Bybit keys without an IP address bound expire after 90 days. Set a reminder to extend the key before then so your journal keeps syncing.
- Separate scalps from swings with tags. Fees on high-frequency perp trades can turn a positive win rate into a losing month.
- Log your stop on every trade. Leverage hides risk in dollar terms; R-multiples do not.
How to sync your Bybit trades
- 1 Log in to Bybit and open Profile icon → API → Create New Key → System-generated API Keys.
- 2 Create a new API key (choose the standard / system-generated key type if asked).
- 3 Give the key read-only / view permission only. Do not enable trading, transfers, or withdrawals. EdgeDojo only reads your trade history.
- 4 Choose Read-Only, then tick the read permissions for the products you trade (Unified Trading / Contract orders and positions, Spot).
- 5 Bybit keys with no IP address bound expire after 90 days. Before then, extend the key on the API Management page (same key and secret) or create a new key and reconnect.
- 6 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose Bybit, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
- Funding payments are not imported from Bybit yet, so perp P&L excludes funding.
