BTC Markets is an Australian exchange where traders buy and sell crypto against the Australian dollar. EdgeDojo connects with a read-only BTC Markets API key and imports your spot fills, with P&L and fees on every trade.
Sync after your session instead of downloading trade reports.
Tips for journaling BTC Markets trades
- Set every function on the key to Read only. If you picked the wrong level, revoke the key and create a new one.
- Keep your AUD cost basis in the journal. It saves time when the financial year ends on 30 June.
- Tag trades by timeframe. A swing trade judged on an intraday chart will always look wrong.
How to sync your BTC Markets trades
- 1 Log in to BTC Markets (https://btcmarkets.net), go to Account, and select API Key.
- 2 Click Add new API key and give it a name.
- 3 Select Read only for each function. Do not choose Read & Write.
- 4 Submit with your password or 2FA code, then copy the API key and secret. The secret is shown only once.
- 5 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose BTC Markets, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
