Coincheck is a major Japanese exchange, popular with retail traders who started on its simple buy and sell app. EdgeDojo connects with a Coincheck API key limited to read permissions and imports your exchange spot fills, with P&L and fees on every trade.
Sync after your session and your trades are ready to review.
Tips for journaling Coincheck trades
- Coincheck sets permissions per function. Tick Trading history and Balance, and leave order and withdrawal functions off.
- Only trades on the Coincheck exchange order book come through the API. Note app purchases separately if you want them in your review.
- Review your swing holds by hold time. Many spot traders find their best results come from fewer, longer trades.
How to sync your Coincheck trades
- 1 Log in to Coincheck (https://coincheck.com), click the settings icon, and select API key.
- 2 Click Add another API key.
- 3 Tick only Trading history and Balance. Do not tick order, send, or withdrawal permissions. Leave the IP address field blank.
- 4 Enter your login password, complete the security check, and copy the access key and secret key.
- 5 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose Coincheck, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
