Independent Reserve is an Australian exchange that also serves New Zealand, where traders buy crypto with AUD or NZD and often hold for months. EdgeDojo connects with a Read Only Independent Reserve API key and imports your spot fills into one journal, with P&L and fees on every trade.
Sync after you trade and your history is ready to review.
Tips for journaling Independent Reserve trades
- Independent Reserve disables API keys without an IP whitelist if they go unused for 6 months. Sync at least once in that window, or create a new key if it stops working.
- Separate DCA buys from discretionary trades with tags. They answer different questions and should not share one win rate.
- Check your fee rate against your monthly volume. A higher tier can matter more than a better entry on small trades.
How to sync your Independent Reserve trades
- 1 Log in to Independent Reserve (https://www.independentreserve.com) and open Settings, then API Keys.
- 2 Click Generate API Key.
- 3 Select the Read Only access level, add a description, and enter your password.
- 4 Copy the API key and secret. The secret cannot be recovered later.
- 5 In EdgeDojo, open Journal โ Import Trades โ Connected accounts, choose Independent Reserve, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
