Bitfinex is known for deep liquidity and margin trading. EdgeDojo connects with a read-only Bitfinex API key and turns your fills into trades with entry, exit, fees, and P&L.
Sync after each session and review your trades without exporting a thing.
Tips for journaling Bitfinex trades
- Tag margin trades separately from spot trades and compare them.
- Log a stop on every position so results are measured in R, not just dollars.
- Use the daily diary on high-volatility days. Your notes explain the outliers your stats cannot.
How to sync your Bitfinex trades
- 1 Log in to Bitfinex and open Account → API Keys (Create New Key tab).
- 2 Open the Create New Key tab.
- 3 Give the key read-only / view permission only. Do not enable trading, transfers, or withdrawals. EdgeDojo only reads your trade history.
- 4 Turn on only the Read toggles for Account History, Orders, Margin Trading and Wallets. Leave every Write toggle and Withdrawals off.
- 5 Click Generate API Key, enter your 2FA code, then open the confirmation email in the same browser and click Create API Key. The key and secret are shown only once.
- 6 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose Bitfinex, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
- Funding payments are not imported from Bitfinex yet, so perp P&L excludes funding.
