Bitstamp is one of the longest-running crypto exchanges, popular with spot traders who value a regulated venue. EdgeDojo connects with a read-only Bitstamp API key and imports your fills as trades with fees and P&L.
Sync whenever you want a fresh view of your trading.
Tips for journaling Bitstamp trades
- Journal entries and exits on longer spot holds, not just the result. Your reasons for holding are what you will want to review later.
- Watch fees on smaller trades. They take a bigger share of P&L than most traders assume.
- Review results by weekday and hour to find the times you trade best.
How to sync your Bitstamp trades
- 1 Log in to Bitstamp and open Settings → API access.
- 2 Create a new API key (choose the standard / system-generated key type if asked).
- 3 Give the key read-only / view permission only. Do not enable trading, transfers, or withdrawals. EdgeDojo only reads your trade history.
- 4 Tick only Account balance and User transactions.
- 5 Copy the Secret now (it's shown once), then click Activate and confirm the link Bitstamp emails you.
- 6 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose Bitstamp, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
- Funding payments are not imported from Bitstamp yet, so perp P&L excludes funding.
