KuCoin lists more small-cap coins than most exchanges, which makes position sizing and discipline matter even more. EdgeDojo connects with a read-only KuCoin key and imports spot, perpetual, and futures fills into one journal.
One General-permission key covers both KuCoin spot and KuCoin Futures.
Tips for journaling KuCoin trades
- Break results out by symbol. Small-cap trades often carry a very different win rate from majors, and blending them hides both.
- Log a stop on every entry. Thin order books make slippage part of your real risk.
- Use the daily diary to note market conditions. Altcoin setups that work in a trending market often fail in chop.
How to sync your KuCoin trades
- 1 Log in to KuCoin and open Profile icon → API Management.
- 2 Click Create API and choose API Trading. Enter an API name and an API passphrase (keep it. You'll paste it below).
- 3 Give the key read-only / view permission only. Do not enable trading, transfers, or withdrawals. EdgeDojo only reads your trade history.
- 4 Leave only General ticked. Don't tick Spot, Margin, Futures, Earn or Withdrawal.
- 5 General-only keys don't expire, so you can skip the IP restriction.
- 6 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose KuCoin, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
- Funding payments are not imported from KuCoin yet, so perp P&L excludes funding.
