Gate lists thousands of pairs, and a journal is how you find out which ones you actually trade well. EdgeDojo connects with a read-only Gate API key and imports your fills as trades with P&L and fees.
Click Sync after each session to bring in the latest trades.
Tips for journaling Gate trades
- Gate keys with no IP address bound can expire after 90 days. If syncing stops, create a new key and reconnect.
- Break results out by symbol. With so many pairs available, a handful usually account for most of your P&L.
- Write down why you picked the coin, not just the entry. Selection is half of the trade on a long-tail exchange.
How to sync your Gate trades
- 1 Log in to Gate and open Profile icon → API Management.
- 2 Click Create API Key, choose API v4 Key and account type Classic Account, and leave Bind IP off.
- 3 Give the key read-only / view permission only. Do not enable trading, transfers, or withdrawals. EdgeDojo only reads your trade history.
- 4 Set Spot/Margin and Perpetual Futures (and Unified, if you use a Unified account) to Read Only. Leave Wallet and Withdrawal disabled.
- 5 Gate keys with no IP binding are valid for 90 days. Create a new key and reconnect before it expires.
- 6 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose Gate, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
- Funding payments are not imported from Gate yet, so perp P&L excludes funding.
