Gemini is built around security, and the EdgeDojo connection keeps it that way: a read-only Auditor key that can see your trades and nothing else. Spot and perpetual fills come over as finished trades with fees and P&L.
Sync after your session and start your review from clean data.
Tips for journaling Gemini trades
- Create the key with the Auditor role and account scope (usually Primary). EdgeDojo cannot use master keys.
- Journal your thesis on longer holds. Spot positions held for weeks need notes more than scalps do.
- Compare your perp and spot results. Many traders do better in one than the other.
How to sync your Gemini trades
- 1 Log in to Gemini and open Settings → API.
- 2 Click Create a new API Key.
- 3 Give the key read-only / view permission only. Do not enable trading, transfers, or withdrawals. EdgeDojo only reads your trade history.
- 4 Set Scope to your account (usually Primary), not Master. EdgeDojo can't use master keys.
- 5 Choose the Auditor role only (read-only).
- 6 Under IP Allow List choose Unrestricted.
- 7 In EdgeDojo, open Journal → Import Trades → Connected accounts, choose Gemini, paste the credentials and click Connect & sync.
- Funding payments are not imported from Gemini yet, so perp P&L excludes funding.
